How Gym Nepal works
Gym Nepal ranks products by what you pay for each gram of the ingredient. We don't sell anything and shops don't pay to be listed. Prices are read from each shop every morning. Confirm the price at the shop before you pay.
- Whey protein: Ranked by rupees per gram of protein, using the scoop size and protein per scoop on the label.
- Plant protein: Pea, rice and other dairy-free powders, ranked by rupees per gram of protein.
- Creatine: Ranked by rupees per gram of creatine. Most people take 3 to 5 g a day.
- Mass gainer: Ranked by rupees per gram of protein. Gainers are mostly carbohydrate, so the price per gram of protein is higher than whey.
- Collagen: Ranked by rupees per gram of collagen peptides.
- Fish oil: Ranked by rupees per gram of EPA + DHA, the omega-3s that matter. A 1000 mg softgel often holds only 300 mg of them, so we use the omega-3 amount on the label, not the softgel size.
- Men's multivitamin: Ranked by the cost of one day's dose, using the number of tablets per day on the label.
- Women's multivitamin: Ranked by the cost of one day's dose, using the number of tablets per day on the label.
- Peanut butter: Ranked by rupees per gram of protein, using the protein per 100 g on the jar.
- Protein oats: High-protein oats ranked by rupees per gram of protein, using the protein per 100 g on the pack.
- Protein muesli: High-protein muesli ranked by rupees per gram of protein, using the protein per 100 g on the pack.
- Protein bars: Ranked by rupees per gram of protein, using the protein in each bar. Packs of several bars are counted bar by bar.
